Touchdown founder John Osborne is an acclaimed filmmaker and producer who has spent over two decades making hugely successful, primetime television in the UK and US. As a director, John’s first film, One Night in May for Sky, won a Banff World Television Award nomination for Best Sports Documentary. His second film, Hillsborough Remembered for HISTORY, became the channel’s highest-rating documentary ever. John’s SHOWTIME feature documentary, Rock ‘N’ Roll Exposed, was hailed “one of the hottest films at SXSW” by Rolling Stone. He has produced a string of films for the BBC, including The Story of Skinhead, described as “a thoughtful, troubling film” by Radio Times and “fascinating” by The Guardian. John started his career as part of the development team behind two BAFTA-shortlisted films: the RTS-nominated Muhammad Ali: Through the Eyes of the World and Christopher Reeve: Courageous Steps, which was nominated for a Primetime Emmy.
